ESOL Tutor
Adam White joined ELLS fall 2014, and served as the facilitator of English Conversation Club. Adam also served international students in his position as an oIP Leadership in International Networking and Knowledge program (LINKer), where he oriented international students to JMU. Pursuing his passion for teaching English to non-native speakers led him to study abroad in summer 2012 in Sasebo, Japan to obtain a TESL certification with over 100 hours of teaching. Adam also spent fall 2013 semester at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, where he participated as a Conversation Partner with South Korean students who wanted to practice English. Adam graduated in May 2015 and majored in International Affairs with minors in Asian Studies and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. He now works for the United States Government in Washington, D.C.
