Hey Y'all, my name is Maddie DuBois and I am a Senior Political science major with a minor in social studies and secondary education. I am from Annapolis Maryland (Go Navy Beat Army!).   I became an Academic Peer Coach because I know what it’s like to feel completely lost in the academic sea, no map, no compass, just a growing pile of stress. My freshman year, I landed on academic probation and felt like I was sinking. But thanks to the support of peer mentors, I found my way back, and now I’m not just surviving, I’m thriving! I want to be that guiding light for other students, helping them find their anchor at JMU, just like I did.
