Join us on February 26, 2026 for our biennial Research Forum, a SSLS cornerstone event that celebrates scholarship and collaboration within our community.

This forum will feature keynote speaker Dr. Matthew J. Mayhew from The Ohio State University, and will showcase current student research alongside alumni dissertation studies, offering a unique opportunity to explore innovative ideas and connect with thought leaders. More information to come soon.

Leading Change Conference 2025

James Madison University’s 4th biennial Leading Change Conference provided opportunities for leadership scholars at both the graduate and postdoctoral levels to present their research in a developmental atmosphere, while forming meaningful connections with practitioners across a wide range of disciplines.

The SSLS Research Forum showcased current student research and alumni dissertation studies. Current students presented their research followed by Q&A with fellow students, alumni, faculty and other attendees. SSLS alumni presented dissertation overviews and answered questions about their research and the dissertation process.
