Student organizations can be a great way to get involved with the community and meet new people. They offer leadership opportunities, learning experiences, and environments to network with professionals.

Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association

AFCEA is an international organization that serves its members by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information.  AFCEA is dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.”

JMU AFCEA is a student led organization committed to the purposeful exchange of information and resources essential to networking in the intelligence community. It seeks to provide its members with the tools necessary to excel in analytic operations.

The JMU Student Chapter of CeVA is composed of many Intelligence Analysis majors, as well as Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, and International Affairs majors. Many students have minors in area studies, language, political science, geographic science, and computers.

Military and Operational Intelligence Association

The Military and Operational Intelligence Association  organization is devoted to providing a supportive community and network for students interested in pursuing careers in the defense and intelligence industries. We strive to provide ways for students to develop and excel in skill sets relating to the field, as well as to support the local community and each other.
