Adenike Tella is a PFF fellow at James Madison University, where she teaches Intercultural Communication. Her research interest cuts across political communication, intercultural communication, gender studies, leadership, and new media. Her research explores how women political leaders use new media platforms to shape public discourse, build political capital, challenge traditional power structures, and entrenched patriarchal norms. Her scholarship extends to the ways in which digital spaces serve as a safe space for women navigating patriarchal political systems. Specifically, she is interested in the evolving dynamics of political leadership among women with attention to how women political leaders utilize new media platforms in reshaping political narratives, amplifying the voices of women leaders, and redefining leadership in intercultural contexts.
