Dr. Jaime DeLuca
Associate Professor of Kinesology
Towson University
Jaime R. DeLuca joined the Towson University Sport Management faculty in the Department of Kinesiology in 2011 and took on the role of Department Chair in 2018. Dr. DeLuca’s teaching interests include both the management and socio-cultural aspects of sport. She is passionate about preparing students for careers in the sport industry and works to help students translate classroom knowledge into professional practice. Dr. DeLuca’s specific research interests focus on exploring the intersection between social class, embodiment, and the familial experience with sport and physical activity through qualitative inquiry. Dr. DeLuca’s current research, Postpartum BODIES [Behavioral Observation of Diet Image & Exercise Study], investigates the physiological and sociological aspects of postpartum recovery and physical activity.
