Following the 2019-2020 academic year, the College of Business will welcome 985 new alumni into its ranks, as 895 undergraduate students, 87 masters degree students, and three doctoral degree students become the most recent graduates of programs within the college.

A message from Mike Busing, Dean of the College of Business:

Greetings and congratulations! We truly wish that you and your loved ones could be here with us at JMU to publicly recognize your degree completion. We do look forward to being together soon, at a formal ceremony, where we will properly celebrate your academic success.

Your graduating class represents the next generation of leaders of businesses and organizations of all types. Some of you will head to Wall Street, while others will launch new business ventures. Hart School graduates will assume positions in sports management fields or in the hospitality industry. And, some of your class will serve as leaders of non-profit organizations.

Management major Lauren Springer had the honor of acting as the student speaker during the JMU celebration. She concluded her enthusiastic address by saying:

“We have made our mark on Madison. Now we show the world what we are made of. Never forget the joy of this place or of our accomplishments, even amidst our hardships. In closing the door on this chapter, I wish you the best in your next endeavor. Thank you to the Class of 2020, JMU faculty and staff, and my friends and family for being my biggest advocates. This isn’t goodbye, but see you later. Congratulations Class of 2020, we did it!”
