The traditional BSN requires a secondary application for admission. Students admitted from high school typically apply in the first semester of their Sophomore year at JMU. Transfer students typically apply after completing one semester of full-time course work. Admission to the pathway is competitive. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee program admission. Students must be admitted to the pathway and meet the Technical Standards to take nursing courses.
Apply for Conditional Admission
Admission is conditional upon meeting all admission requirements.
Applications for admission are accepted twice per calendar year. For admission to the Fall cohort, applications are due by December 1 and transcripts are due by January 11. For admission to the Spring cohort, applications are due by July 1 and transcripts are due by August 31.
