My Career Journey
I attended Christopher Newport University for undergrad. I switched my major and career path several times. I thought I wanted to be an English teacher, journalist, or lawyer. I graduated with a degree in Communication Studies. During my undergrad experience, I was very involved on campus in a number of different leadership positions. That led me to pursue a masters degree in higher education administration at Oregon State University. My job search after grad school led me to JMU and I have been here since 2016! I have previously worked in the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices.

- I am a super fan of the TV show, Survivor. I have seen every season multiple times and it would be a dream to be on the show
- Some of my hobbies include reading, video games, board games, jigsaw puzzles, seeing Broadway musicals and listening to audiobooks
- I am really good at the claw machine arcade game
