I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Sport Sciences and a minor in biology from Wake Forest U. From there, I received a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Duke U. After practicing as a PT in acute care at UVA, I suffered a severe bout of depression and discovered that working in PT was not my calling. Soon after, I pivoted to being a stay-at-home mom. After my youngest left for college, I began my career journey at JMU. I took twists and turns before finding my dream job as a Career Advisor and Liaison to the College of Health and Behavioral Studies.

• I love being a Learning Partner on Alternative Break Trips (I've been on 5 trips and counting) 
• I love to create gifts with the awesome people at the Makery (Laser cutting wood and acrylic, 3-D printer, embroidery machine!)
