  • Alumni have access to all of Handshake for 1 year, and many features for a lifetime.
  • Faculty can contact their CAP liaison for information about using Handshake in the classroom.
  • Employers can visit our Post Jobs and Internships page for information on advertising positions.
When did Handshake replace Recruit-A-Duke?

Handshake replaced Recruit-A-Duke (RAD) as the new platform for JMU students’ job and internship search on May 2nd, and RAD was discontinued on June 30th.


Handshake currently serves more than 500+ other universities with a more comprehensive, user-friendly system. The Handshake mission is to level the playing field of opportunities for students, regardless of their school, location, or people they know.
