What is Handshake?

Handshake gives you access to:

Who can use it?
  • Students from any JMU program of study can find plenty of opportunities, with over 200,000 jobs listed.
  • Alumni have access to all of Handshake for 1 year, and many features for a lifetime.
  • Faculty can contact their CAP liaison for information about using Handshake in the classroom.
  • Employers can visit our Post Jobs and Internships page for information on advertising positions.
When did Handshake replace Recruit-A-Duke?

Handshake replaced Recruit-A-Duke (RAD) as the new platform for JMU students’ job and internship search on May 2nd, and RAD was discontinued on June 30th.
