Do marketing students have to select a concentration?

No. Concentrations are entirely optional for students if they would like to focus their marketing electives toward one of two specialized areas of marketing. The Digital Marketing Concentration prepares students for exciting and emerging career opportunities in marketing analytics, social media marketing, paid search, display advertising, email marketing, search engine optimization, content marketing, mobile marketing, and integrated digital marketing strategy.

Are marketing internships required and can course credit be earned for marketing internships?

Marketing internships are not required but they are highly encouraged to help you gain valuable experience. Over 67% of marketing majors from our recent graduating class completed at least one internship. Under our MKTG 494 course, students have the opportunity for marketing internships to count as one of the required marketing electives to fulfill graduation requirements.
