Presentation on Technical Analysis

Professor Elias Semaan will make a presentation to the Financial Management Association student organization at 8:00 p.m., November 14th, in room 202 ZSH. His presentation is entitled "Technical Trading: How it Works and Why We Don't Teach It in College." All students are welcome to attend.

New course for Spring 2008

Two sections of the new course entitled Financial Statement Analysis will be offered for the Spring 2008 semester: Section 1 is MWF, 12:20 - 1:10 p.m., taught by Profesor Marshall, and Section 2 is TTh, 9:30-10:45 a.m., taught by Professor Drake. This course is recommended for Finance majors who wish to pursue careers in financial analysis and managerial finance. This course is considered a finance elective. Pre-requisite: COB 300.

Professor Dan Anderson, Leslie P. Schultz Professor of Risk Management and Insurance, School of Business, University of Wisconsin - Madison, will talk about risk management in his presentation on Thursday, October 4th, at 4 p.m. in Memorial Hall 7370. Overrides (posted August 6, 2007)

Students wishing to receive an override for a course for the fall semester must complete a Request for an override form and email it to the program director, Pamela Peterson Drake. [Note: Save this form to your computer, complete it and save the completed form, and then email it to drakepp@jmu.edu.] Overrides will be considered, but students should attempt to add the class through e-campus prior to requesting an override.
