Welcome to the Department of Finance and Business Law
A Description of the Major
The Program of Finance and Business Law strives to prepare students for decision-making roles in an increasingly technological and global environment. We have two majors in this Department: Finance and Quantitative Finance (QFIN). The finance major is a major within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, whereas the QFIN major is within the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Students may elect the Financial Analysis concentration to accompany the finance major or the Risk Management concentration to accompany the finance or QFIN majors. Our finance program is selected into University Recognition Program by CFA Institute.
Our finance faculty members teach finance courses for the College of Business and for the finance and QFIN majors; our business law faculty members teach COB 218 in the BBA core, as well as courses for the finance and accounting majors.
