Life and death lessons

It's a situation no nurse wants to face. A patient, seemingly on the mend, suddenly suffers a pulmonary embolism and dies. Unfortunately, real life situations in a hospital run the gamut from routine care to critical, even fatal health crises. JMU students are gaining new insight into literary genres

American Pulp

The university's recent acquisition of 60 Black Mask magazines, the third largest collection in the country, is "a unique collection that other universities just don't have," says Dr. Brooks Hefner. Students enrolled in Hefner's American Pulp course are the first beneficiaries of this collection.
