  • Do Not Share Your JMU Passwords

It is extremely important that you not share your password with anyone, and in particular, never provide it to anyone via email or phone. JMU will never ask for your password via email or phone. Never provide it regardless of circumstance. JMU as well as other universities across the country are the target of attacks by criminals hoping to fool people into giving away their university passwords. They send messages and make phone calls claiming to be from the university and needing the information for e-mail or security upgrades. Any large-scale maintenance and security announcements are posted to the JMU computing site.
  • How do I change my JMU e-ID password?

The e-ID password grants access to MyMadison, Blackboard, and many other JMU applications.
