Search for Files and Folders in
Windows Vista



  1. Click the Vista Start button.
  2. Right above the button where it says "Search" in the input field, type the file name or part of the file name.
  3. Vista will populate a list above it about the items it finds.
  4. Click on the desired item.
  5. This method can be used to search for items that are not files as well.
