How To Search for Files and Folders on Novell Netware Drives
- After logging onto your Novell NDS/NetWare account right-click on Start (XP) or the Vista button (Vista), and then click Explore.

- In the left pane, under My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista) browse to the network drive (i.e. J:, K:, L:, N: or M:), directory or folder you want to search in and select it.

- Right-click on the selection and click Search from the menu.

For XP Users (Vista Users Click Here), fill in the All or part of the file name: box with part or all of the name of the folder or file (or the file's extension, such as .doc for a Word document, .xls for Excel, .ppt for Powerpoint, etc).
-OR-
Fill in the A word or phrase in the file: box with something you remember was typed in the file.

For Vista Users (XP Users Click Here), fill in the search box with part or all of the name of the folder or file (or the file's extension, such as .docx for a Word document, .xlsx for Excel, .pptx for Powerpoint, etc).

- Narrowing the search:
XP Users:
If you want to narrow your search further (or if you do not know what information to fill in on the step above), do the following:
- Click When was it modified? to specify files that were created or modified on or between specific dates.
- Click More advanced options to specify additional search criteria.
- Click Search.
Vista Users:
If you want to narrow your search further (or if you do not know what information to fill in on the step above), then click the button beside Advanced Search to specify criteria.
Then start typing in the search box.
