Madison Achievement Scholarships
Scholarship information:
- The Madison Achievement Scholarships are merit-based awards which recognize a broad spectrum of accomplishment and potential.
- Academic department heads are responsible for selecting individuals who posses scholastic achievement within a particular area of study and demonstrate promise to the university.
- Approximately 50 scholarships are awarded annually.
- Award amounts may vary from $500 for one year to $2,000 for two years.
Application process:
- No additional application is required for the Madison Achievement Scholarships. Students will be reviewed using their application for admission to JMU.
- All scholarship recipients will be notified by April 10, 2008. The Bluestone Scholarship Selection Committee will not notify applicants who do not receive a scholarship.
Requirements to maintain eligibility:
- Students awarded a two-year scholarship must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Some scholarships have additional requirements which will be clearly stated in the award letter.
