Dr. Michael Speight ('21)

Dr. Speight was invited to submit his dissertation, "Analysis of Alumni Giving at a Public Tier 1 Post-secondary Institution Based on Student Activity Involvement: Multivariate Logistic Regression Modeling for Alumni Giving Six to Nine Years from Graduation," to the Journal for Advancement Analytics and has since been accepted.

Promotions and Career Advancement

Dr. Paul Morgan ('18) accepted a new role in November 2021 as Dean of Students for Jackson State Community College in Jackson, Tennessee.


 Dr. Laura Hunt Trull ('15) accepted  a position as a Research Faculty in the Center for Rural Health and Research at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.


Dr. Aaron Noland ('17) accepted a new role as a Senior Organizational Development Consultant at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. 


Dr. Roxy Allen Kioko ('17) has been promoted to Senior Advisory for Leadership Development at Catholic Relief Services based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Lindsey M. King ('21)

Dr. Lindsey M. King ('21) received Outstanding Dissertation Awards from JMU's Graduate School and College of Business for her study, "An Entrepreneurial Mindset: Not Just for Entrepreneurs."


Dr. Roxy Allen Kioko has received special recognition for her work on the Race Equity Team for Catholic Relief Services.


Dr. Daisha M. Merritt ('15) was awarded the 2021 Best Researcher Award from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  

Dr. Merritt is currently an Assistant Professor of the Practice within Embry-Riddle's College of Business and serves as the Associate Department Chair for Management and Technology. 

Alumni Service & Engagements

Dr. Nick Langridge ('14) has been elected to serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors for LEAD Virginia. 


Dr. Dara Hall ('17) is now Chair of the College of Education Technology Committee at James Madison University and is an active member of both the JMU Holocaust Remembrance Steering Committee and the Yield Strategy Task Force.
