Description:
In this second session, participants will apply JMU editorial style to documents they have access to or are working on in their home units.
 
Polished, professional communication is critical to effectively convey information and is an absolute requirement to advance anyone’s career at JMU. This course offers simple and clear tips to edit writing, apply it in a variety of media, and create style guides and templates to streamline your work.
 
After completing this session, you will be able to:
  • Use various levels of effective editing
  • Apply rules to documents that participants use in their own units
  • Edit your own and others’ work
