Gina Reinhardt is an English MA part time student at JMU. Being originally from Germany, her academic focus so far has been on German literature and teaching German as a second (or third, i.e. “foreign”) language. She now intends to increase her knowledge, understanding, and research skills of English literature and has a special interest in 19th and early 20th century history and literature which is not limited to British, American, and German authors, and includes almost any genre of the time period. In addition to teaching, Gina hopes to eventually do research and writing in the field of comparative literature and contribute to the international exchange of literature and culture, past and present, especially between English speaking and German speaking countries.

Outside of academia, Gina’s interests include traveling and hiking, reading and music, the environment and sustainability, good food, and most of all family and friends.
