Overview and Objectives
As the largest employer in the region, JMU will play a vital role in convening leaders to work together in new and expanded ways to address economic recovery as a result of the downturn in the local and regional economies. This series will:
- Convene business, nonprofit, government and community leaders
- Partner with our community to identify priority areas where we can work together to bolster local and regional economic development
- Identify and elevate awareness of the resources (faculty and staff expertise) that exist within JMU

More than 100 businesses and organizations from across our region have signed the Shenandoah Valley Collective Action Pact as their commitment to collaborate on short and long-term solutions to the challenges facing our region.

RERS Working Groups
