The Master of Education (M. Ed.) degree with a concentration in Educational Technology includes core courses in education and in educational technology, as well as advanced courses. A maximum of 33 credits are required for all students except those who are able to waive LTLE 675 Applied Research Design, by showing acceptable written evidence of meeting the course competencies.

All courses and course materials are currently delivered in English using the Canvas learning management system. Courses are offered entirely online, from 5:45pm-8:15pm ET/EST/EDT on weekdays. Admission Requirements for the M.Ed. in Education with a concentration in Educational Technology

All criteria are considered when reviewing the candidates for admission. You should meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university (official transcripts required)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. If a 2.5 to 2.9 instead, conditional admittance will be considered.
  • Professional resume
  • 2 professional letters of reference
  • Work experience is preferred
  • 2-3 page, written statement (double spaced) describing your professional background, the educational issues that you would like to address in the master’s program and your long-term professional goals
  • Work samples: 2 to 3 examples of how you are designing and developing learning experiences, using technologies 
  • Video - (No longer than 5 minutes) - Briefly describe your short-term professional interests and long-term goals. Explain what drew you to the program and how you see the program aligning with your interest goals. Describe the purpose, audience, learning objectives and outcomes of one of your work samples.
