Program Coordinator Welcome

Thank you for your interest in James Madison University’s BSN-DNP Healthcare Systems Leadership program! This program is for students who have completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The D.N.P. Leadership program prepares students to lead healthcare innovation at the highest organizational level and influence policy while allowing students to focus on a particular specialty area. The D.N.P. nurse impacts the practice of nursing, the healthcare delivery system, and the shaping of health policy by providing the environment, resources, and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient and family-centered nursing care and to practice as a professional within an interprofessional team. Our program will thoroughly prepare you with the knowledge and advanced skill set necessary to lead nursing practice and positively impact patient outcomes from the highest levels. All BSN-DNP program graduates will demonstrate the competencies in The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Sincerely,
