This is our lobby and waiting room area.
Here you will be greeted by the front desk upon arrival and this is where you will check in and check out from your appointment.

Our front desk is happy to help if you have any questions before during or after sessions.

Your clinician will meet you in the waiting room area before taking you back into the hearing clinic or the speech-language clinic. This is the hearing clinic.

This is the Adult Booth, hearing testing for adult patients takes place in the sound treated room.

In here the audiologist or student clinician will look in your ear measure the movement of your eardrum and test hearing using Pure Tone sounds and speech.

This is the examiner room where the audiologist and student clinician will be administering the hearing test while the patient is in the booth. We can communicate with the patient over headphones or speakers during the entire appointment.

Here is another sound treated room which can be used to test both adult and pediatric patients. When we test young children, we use a variety of methods that include play, toys, and video reinforcement.

Here is the hearing aids room all the audiologists at the JMU Audiology Clinic are also licensed hearing aid dispensers. We offer a wide variety of hearing aids and assistive listening devices to improve your hearing and quality of life.
We work closely with our patients to make sure they are hearing well during their 30 day hearing aid trial. We are also committed to working with you and your hearing aids after your trial period is completed.

This is the newborn screening room. Some hearing tests don't require a response from the patient at all; in this room we have some electrophysiologic tests that can be performed of patients of any age even newborns.

Here you will find the observation room. You are invited into the observation room to listen through our high-tech HIPAA compliant video system through these computers and headphones should you choose to observe a session of your child or spouse.

This is the Speech-Language Clinic.

Here is an example of a clinic room where most of our evaluation and treatment sessions take place with our graduate clinicians.

Here is the conference room where we hold adult group therapy sessions, we may also discuss evaluation results and therapy recommendations with clients and their loved ones.

This is our sensory motor room, our sensory motor room in the Speech-Language Clinic is used for play with a purpose. All children have different learning styles, the sensory motor room provides opportunity for learning using play movement and tactile kinesthetic activities in order to enrich their communication treatment.
