In the University Career Center, I have the privilege of serving as the Associate Director for Employer Relations. I oversee the activities of the Employer Services Team, including employer events, career fairs, employer outreach, and our Partners Program. I supervise four individuals on the Employer Services Team.
Working with employers that want to hire our wonderful JMU students is very rewarding. I enjoy working to cultivate, create, and maintain relationships with local, national, and international employers.
My Career Journey
I majored in psychology at Florida State University and pursued my master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration at JMU. I fell in love with the beauty of Virginia and started my professional career at Virginia Tech in 2000. I returned to JMU in 2005 and have held several different roles in the office over the years including career & academic advisor, internship coordinator, assistant director and now associate director.
The UCC is a wonderful place to work, and I believe we are making a difference in the lives of our students. Every student's journey matters.
