In the University Career Center, I have the privilege of serving as the Associate Director for Employer Relations. Leading our dedicated Employer Services team is a great joy. Each member brings unique skills and gifts to their roles. As the Associate Director, I oversee the activities of the Employer Services Team, including employer events, career fairs, employer outreach, and our Partners Program.
Working with employers that want to hire our wonderful JMU students is very rewarding. I enjoy working to cultivate, create, and maintain relationships with local, national, and international employers.
My Career Journey
I majored in psychology at Florida State University and pursued my master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration at JMU. I fell in love with the beauty of Virginia and started my professional career at Virginia Tech in 2000. I returned to JMU in 2005 and have held several different roles in the office over the years including career & academic advisor, internship coordinator, assistant director and now associate director.
The UCC is a wonderful place to work, and I believe we are making a difference in the lives of our students. Every student's journey matters.
