My Career Journey
After graduating high school, I attended community college for two years and got my associate's degree in general studies. I transferred to Longwood University to complete my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Since I was a transfer student, I went in as a junior and had to navigate a new environment and space alone. This experience got me thinking about my future career and what I would want to purse. After graduating from Longwood, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to help students get acclimated to a new university through connecting them to resources and finding their own sense of belonging. I began applying to graduate programs and ended up here at James Madison University in the College Student Personnel Administration master's program. I am starting my second year in the program.
