No-Show Policies

If you do not cancel and do not arrive on time, you are considered a "no-show" participant. No shows accumulate each semester and are reset to zero at the beginning of each new semester.

Once a participant has three (3) no-shows to any UREC programs, their online registration privileges will be suspended. The participant will only be able to register in-person at the Welcome Center or by phone at 540-568-8734. To have online registration privileges reinstated, a participant can learn more about canceling and then complete a short online quiz sent to their email to verify their understanding of the program cancelation process.

If a participant has six (6) no-shows to any UREC programs, their online, in-person, and phone registration privileges will be suspended. The participant will be responsible for scheduling an in-person meeting with a UREC Services Team member regarding the possible reinstatement of their registration privileges.

Refunds

For courses with fees, see course information for refund deadlines. For your refund request to be considered, you will need to contact the UREC professional staff member who oversees the program by the deadline:

If you are unsure of who to contact, you can contact the UREC Welcome Center (540-568-8734) or the Assistant Director for Member Services for assistance.

Please allow one week for approved refunds to reimburse your credit card. A $50 fee will be assessed for any check returned by the bank.
