UREC offers two methods for registering for programs - in-person at UREC and online! Not sure if you have eligibility to register for programs? View UREC membership information.

In-Person Registration

Register for any UREC program at the UREC  Welcome Center. You may pay for any fee-based programs at UREC using FLEX only.

For more information about FLEX, visit Campus Card Services. There is a DART machine located in the UREC lobby that participants can utilize to deposit money into their FLEX account. This DART machine also provides DART cards. Visitors and participants can purchase the cards out of the DART machine for one dollar ($0.75 for the card and $0.25 credit put on the card). They can then put money on them to use for FLEX charges.

Online Registration

You may register online at urecregister.jmu.edu for all programs (this includes Group Exercise classes and Intramural Sports) and most services.

Current JMU students, faculty, staff, affiliates, emeriti: Use your JMU e-ID and password to login. Your e-id is what comes before your @dukes.jmu.edu or @jmu.edu email address. If you forget your JMU password, contact the JMU Help Desk at 540-568-3555 as UREC cannot assist with your password issues.

To view your current registrations, click here. See the directions below if you need to cancel your registration. Please note that course confirmation emails sent between August 15 and September 9, 2018 may show the incorrect program time on the attachment due to a bug in the software. Please refer to your online profile for the correct program start time.

Don't have a JMU e-ID or password? Certain UREC programs are open to the public, including Camp UREC, Kids Night Out, and Swim Lessons. More information related to creating an account can be found on the URECregister.jmu.edu Log In page.

Canceling Registrations, Refunds, and No-Show Policies

To view your current registrations, click here.

No-cost Programs: If you need to cancel your registration, the deadline is 2 hours prior to the start of class to cancel.  If you do not cancel and do not show up on time for a class, you are considered a "no-show participant." If you no-show three times in one semester, you will lose your online registration privileges for the remainder of that semester. You may cancel online at URECregister.jmu.edu following these instructions or you can visit or call the UREC Welcome Center at 540-568-8734.

Programs with Fees: See course information for refund deadlines. For your refund request to be considered, you will need to contact the UREC professional staff member who oversees the program by the deadline.  Please allow one week for approved refunds to reimburse your credit card. A $50 fee will be assessed for any check returned by the bank.
