Leslie Anne George
born April 21, 1981, lived in Alexandria, Virginia for 19 years. She attended grade school and junior high at Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Ireton High School in 1999.
Leslie was a member of the National Honor Society, the National Latin Club, the Peer Helpers Group, Copy Editor of the Yearbook and played tennis for Bishop Ireton.
During her high school years she enjoyed working part time at the Alexandria Animal Hospital and as a server at various restaurants in Alexandria. Leslie was an avid reader.
She also took delight in cooking for the entire family. Her dream was to own a five-star restaurant. Thus, her decision to attend James Madison University in the hope of receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
She died following surgery on September 29, 2000 from overwhelming septic shock caused by a rupture in her stomach as a result of bulimia. Her battle with anorexia and bulimia began in 1996.
