Mission Statement

The University Health Center partners with students to empower them to make informed choices by providing a holistic approach to student health, education, wellness and outreach services in a confidential, inclusive, and respectful environment.

Who we serve

The University Health Center is a STUDENT Health Center. JMU faculty and staff employees are not eligible to receive services at UHC. Find out what we can do for JMU Faculty and Staff.

In Case of an Emergency

In the event that the Health Center is closed or it is after hours and you have a medical emergency, please contact Campus Police at 540.568.6911 or call 911.

If you feel that you need immediate medical assistance there are several options available to you:

• You can visit the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Emergency Room located adjacent to the Health Center or


• Go to the Emergicare clinic located at 755 Cantrell Avenue (in the same building as Campbell Copy Center). The phone number for Emergicare is 540.432.9996.
