Scholarship Overview
The purpose of the scholarship is to interest JMU students in the study of Africa and Ghana in particular. Recipients must be accepted into the Summer in Ghana Program and have financial need. The JMU Ghana summer abroad program has been in existence since 1994. This scholarship may not be used to cover the initial non-refundable fee required of all participants of the Summer in Ghana Program. The scholarship is fully refunded to the JMU Foundation's Summer in Ghana Program fund, if the recipient withdraws from the program for any reason.
