Scholarship Overview

An endowed scholarship established in memory of Patsy Graham a student athlete/swimmer from Fairfax, Virginia, by family, friends, swimmers, Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and Sigma Pi fraternity. In 1986, Patsy enrolled to study elementary education. One year scholarship to a sophomore, junior, or senior. Special considerations but not requirements shall include: (1) Student fighting or recovering from cancer; (2) member of Sigma Sigma Sigma or Sigma Pi; (3) student majoring in elementary education. Recipient should have demonstrated a keen dedication to specific personal and educational goals in the spirit of the zeal of Patsy Graham. The recipient should be considered active, cheerful, enthusiastic and driven! These qualifications shall be addressed by two letters of recommendation from JMU faculty, administrators, and/or staff.
