Scholarship Overview

Through this scholarship fund, Mr. Good intends to provide financial resources annually to an outstanding graduate of Harrisonburg High School who has been accepted and enrolled as an incoming freshman at James Madison University. To qualify as a Good Scholar, the recipient must be: 1) An outstanding graduate of Harrisonburg High School (HHS) in Harrisonburg, VA 2) Enrolled as a full-time, incoming freshman student at James Madison University.

Once a student is named a Good Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years if the recipient remains in good standing and maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. If this requirement is not met, a new incoming freshman recipient will be selected. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of Good Scholars will follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
