Navid AttayanBiking 3,000 miles across country last summer, Navid Attayan ('14) was sometimes tempted to quit. But when facing 116 degree heat, dwindling water and towering mountain ranges, he was inspired by the faces of children afflicted with pediatric cancer. "They don't get to quit," Navid says. So he didn't quit in a personal quest to raise money and awareness for the young victims of neuroblastoma—children he met during an internship at the National Institutes of Health. For the pre-med student, his cross-country journey was only the first leg of a lifetime journey to change the futures of young cancer victims.
