Mentorship & Community-Building
One-on-One With Your Mentor
All Centennials are paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support during biweekly one-on-one meetings.
Small Group With Other Centennials
First- and second-year Centennials are assigned to a small group based on similar academic areas of interest. Together with their mentor, they will develop interpersonal skills, build long-lasting relationships, and collaborate as a team on a weekly basis.
Community Engagement & Service-Learning
In collaboration with JMU's Community Engagement & Volunteer Center (CEVC), we help Centennials establish semester- or year-long partnerships with local organizations. This allows our students to better engage with the community through meaningful service opportunities. We ensure successful service-learning through guided reflections led by trained CEVC student staff.
Workshops Tailored to First-Generation Students
Financial Literacy Programs
We offer programs designed to help students understand and navigate the four pillars of financial literacy:

- Investing
Professional Development Programs
We partner with the University Career Center (UCC) to provide workshops geared toward preparing students for their transition from college to career.
