University Events helps bring JMU’s most important moments to life, from presidential gatherings to signature ceremonies that celebrate our community. Reporting to the Office of the President, we ensure that each occasion reflects the excellence, values, and traditions of JMU.

As the lead commencement officers, our team manages all aspects of the commencement ceremonies, creating memorable experiences for graduates and their guests. We also coordinate a wide range of university-wide events that highlight JMU’s achievements and strengthen its reputation. 

In addition to producing signature events, University Events provides consistent, high-quality support and consultation to departments across campus. Through collaboration, professionalism, and attention to detail, we help create experiences that honor the University’s mission and leave a lasting impression on every guest.
