IA Student Ambassador
Class of 2026 (May)
Minors: Global Religions and Cultures and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies
Student Clubs and Organizations: President, Women in Intelligence and National Security and member of the Future Analyst Association
Why did you become an ambassador?
I chose to become an ambassador to help build a positive academic and social environment for students. Students cannot be expected to perform their best without feeling supported and motivated in their endeavors. I want to ensure that my peers have a positive academic experience so they can put all their talents to use.
Why IA?
I chose the IA major because I enjoy challenging myself to think deeply about things. I am also passionate about International Affairs and U.S. National Security.
What do you enjoy most about the program?
I enjoy the small size of the IA program. It helps to build a close-knit community.
All of the professors have amazing stories, and I love it when they share their experiences with students
Describe your JMU experience in three words: Full of blessings!
Advice for prospective students
It is okay to be nervous, overwhelmed, and unsure of yourself. Tap into these feelings for motivation and use uncomfortable situations to grow. If you do this, you will look back at the end of your JMU experience in awe of how much you have grown and accomplished.
Work hard, be your best self, do the right thing and build in time for fun! Also, make an effort to actually talk with the ambassadors and professors because they truly want the best for you.
