Workshop Description: It’s been a while since we have received annual raises. While we certainly appreciate the bonuses, the challenge we have is how to continue meeting our goals and paying our regular bills when our monthly income has not increased in the past few years. Now more than ever you probably want to have your financial “ducks in a row”. To help you along those lines we are happy to offer you the opportunity to participate in a four part series entitled Basic Finance & Budgeting: Getting Your Financial Ducks in a Row. This workshop is designed to help you understand and evaluate your values and behaviors as they pertain to spending and budgeting; develop an effective personal budget to assist you in meeting your goals; learn methods to debt reduction; understand investing fundamentals; design effective strategies to meet your investment objectives, take appropriate risks, and understand the financial tools available to you both inside and outside JMU.
