James Madison University’s Faculty Flashpoint Series, sponsored by the Center for Faculty Innovation, continues with an examination of regional developments in the 63-year-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“Arab Spring: Are Israel/Palestine Immune?” will examine the conflict in light of the revolutionary wave of protests and demonstrations in the Arab world, the standoff between Iran and the U.S. and the unfolding crisis in Syria. Panel members will discuss the prospects for Israeli-Palestinian peace as well as domestic political reform in the Palestinian territories, and one panelist’s first-person account of extensive work with Palestinian refugees is sure to enrich this “glocal” dialogue.

JMU faculty, staff, students and community members are welcome. Pre-event registration is not required.
