JMU students operate and present their work in the artWorks Gallery.
Located at 131 Grace Street, within a short walk from Duke Hall, artWorks Gallery is a loft space located in the former Graves Electric building. artWorks is JMU’s student–run gallery, exhibiting work by undergraduate and graduate students. The gallery features moveable walls; hardwood floors; large windows; and a high, open ceiling. Exhibits change, on average, every two weeks. Opening receptions are held on the first Monday of each show from 5–7 p.m. For information on exhibitions and to verify hours of operation, please call (540) 568–7175.
Exhibitions in the artWorks Gallery are sponsored by the School of Art, Design and Art History. Learn more about academic programs in JMU’s School of Art, Design and Art History.
