Internships
Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art offers on-campus gallery internships each semester.
Along with monitoring the gallery to ensure safety and security, these unique internships bring students the experience of working within all aspects of a contemporary art gallery. Hands-on training will be accompanied by lectures and seminars taught by the gallery director.
Gallery interns earn 1-credit and work a minimum of 50 hours. 2-credit internships are also available.
Volunteer
Exhibition Volunteer Opportunity
If you are interested in art and enjoy working with people, then consider becoming an exhibition volunteer: welcome visitors, monitor the gallery and assist with installation. Volunteer requests are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Docent Program
Docents are volunteer teachers who provide group learning experiences in the form of museum tours, demonstrations or instruction specific to current exhibitions.
Docents conduct visits for adults and school groups of all ages. If you enjoy discussing artwork with others, consider joining the docent program.
