Transcripts of all previous academic work at the undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) level. 
Applicants must upload unofficial copies of their transcripts and if admitted, all transcripts will be verified by the Graduate School. Applicants who previously attended James Madison University still need to upload an unofficial transcript, but do not need to provide official transcripts for verification.


Required by Program

  • Submit a two page written statement
  • One letter of recommendation from a cooperating teacher and/or professional with whom you have worked over an extended period of time. The context of the work should involve interactions with individuals with exceptionalities and the person should have been in a position to attest to your professional dispositions.
All of the above listed requirements can/should be uploaded within the online application, and test scores should be sent electronically to the Graduate School from the Educational Testing Service.
