You can learn many things at Dayton Learning Center. Classes include:

• Adult Basic Education (ABE)
• General Education Development (GED) classes
• language classes such as Spanish and Russian
• English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
• Family Literacy class called IMPACT.
• Classes for high school students (Alternative Education)

Not all classes are taught at Dayton Learning Center. Classes are also held at

• United Services Building in Elkton
• Broadway Presbyterian Church in Broadway
• Blessed Sacrament Church in Harrisonburg
• Timberville Church of Christ.

Teachers, aides, and volunteers work with the students to help them learn. The secretaries, a director, and adult education specialist work in the office. The janitor keeps the building looking good.

People learn about Dayton Learning Center through the newspaper, radio and TV advertisements, from their friends, and through their jobs.

Fall term classes begin in September. Spring term classes begin in January. Sometimes there are summer term classes.
