Interested in joining the debate team? The doors to the JMU Policy Debate Team are always open to individuals who are interested in joining the team or learning more about the activity. Please do not hesitate to contact team captain Dannise Brown at browndy@dukes.jmu.edu or director of debate Taylor Johnson at johns4tn@jmu.edu if you have any questions regardless of the time of year or your level of experience. If you find that being a part of this team is something for you, we are excited to hear from you. 

Meetings for first-year competitors are held Tuesday/Thursday, 7pm-9pm in Harrison 2241. Varsity and JV meetings are Tuesday/Wednesday 7pm-9pm in Harrison 2274. You can also probably find members of the team hanging out or doing debate or school work in our squad room (Harrison 2274) almost any time of day who would be happy to help you out if you are interested in joining the team.
