Incubate and de-risk your startup by joining Madison Inc. where you’ll get input and direction. Through monthly one-on-one meetings with GCFE staff and advisors, you’ll create achievable goals to help move your business ideas forward, even while balancing college life.

Madison Inc. offers custom-tailored special events and connections with local professional and alumni entrepreneurs. Monthly cohort meetings allow for collaboration and connection with fellow JMU emerging entrepreneurs.

Robert Aguillen

robery_aguillen_200x200.jpegRobert Aguillen is an integrated science and technology major. After developing tendonitis, Robert created EN Guitars to reduce the number of repetitive motion injuries that occur within the guitar playing community. His designs for an ergonomic guitar are easier to play as opposed to the traditional designs for electric guitars, and he aims to sell these ergonomic guitars at an affordable price for the everyday guitar player. In addition to participating in Madison Inc, Robert was selected for Dukes Venture Accelerator ‘22.

Marlon Cuevas

marlon_cuevas_200x200.jpegMarlon Cuevas is a finance major with a writing, rhetoric and technical communications minor. Marlon and co-founder Crystal Cuevas have developed FindHerFootball, a sports media marketing agency that brings a professional women’s soccer visibility by leveling media coverage and sponsorship disparity. In addition to participating in Madison Inc and Dukes Venture Accelerator ‘22, Marlon was selected for the Zane Showker Entrepreneurship Award for his entrepreneurial spirit and thinking and demonstrated the potential to be a successful entrepreneur.

Kate Harwood

kate_harwood_200x200.jpegKate Harwood is a communication studies and media arts & design major with a digital video and cinema concentration. Fidelis Vitae Studio creates inspirational content for individuals, small businesses and non-profits to showcase their passion and desire to impact change all around them through their services. Kate’s vision for her production company is expanding to full-length documentaries as well full-length fiction films that center on the themes of their mission and vision.

Jack Oppenheim

jack_oppenheim_200x200.jpegJack Oppenheim is a history major. Tow Ninja is a web and mobile app designed to solve the common pains associated with the towing industry. Tow companies can easily track and view tows, status and revenue. While vehicle owners can use the service to locate, manage, pay and retrieve towed vehicles. In addition to participating in Madison Inc, Jack was selected as the Tucker Family Award recipient for the most viable venture from Summer Accelerator ‘21 and as a portfolio company during Bluestone Seed Fund’s fall investment cycle.
