Dr. Rob Alexander is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Administration in the Political Science Department where he teaches courses in sustainability policy and public management and leadership. As a married, gay man, he is involved with efforts to improve the safety of and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and gender/sexuality questioning employees at JMU and in the Harrisonburg community. His work with this community dovetails with his interests in the social equity component of sustainability efforts where, in his research and teaching, he challenges students and peers to bridge the ecological and social domains.
