Sophomore Curt Dvonch knows a thing or two about infrared imaging. His freshman-year research at JMU included a NASA-funded project where he helped pinpoint defects in tiles like those found on U.S. space shuttles. Dvonch then spent a year working exclusively on a government-funded research project that may ease maneuverability of combat tanks. Now back at JMU, this undergraduate has research, writing and presentation skills that graduate students only dream about. Infrared imaging is helping change the world. Curt Dvonch is at the head of the class.
