Colafranceschi teaches applied-computing, energy and manufacturing classes.
Colafranceschi’s research focuses on high-energy physics (CERN), medical physics, mobile app development for science/outreach.
Colafranceschi earned three degrees from the University of Rome (Italy): a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, a master's degree in astronautical engineering, and a doctorate in industrial engineering. In addition, he has conducted postgraduate work at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, and post-doctoral work in high energy physics at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
