SUMMARY: The Game Changer award honors outstanding faculty and staff members for their exceptional work supporting the university.

Rabia Lieber ('00, '22M), digital marketing and EdTech manager in the College of Education, and Yvonne Miller, senior administrative assistant to the dean of The Graduate School, were recognized as Game Changers during Saturday's JMU football game against Wagner College.

JMU Athletics created the Game Changer award to recognize faculty and staff members whose outstanding work benefits the university and JMU Athletics.

Lieber was nominated by Dr. Mark L'Esperance, dean of the College of Education, for her leadership in expanding the college's digital presence.

"Over the last several years, Rabia's leadership in developing a comprehensive social media and website presence for the College of Education has been a game changer," L'Esperance said. "Rabia is the epitome of a lifelong learner and team player and is a valued member of the college."

Miller was nominated by Dr. Linda Thomas, dean of The Graduate School, for her reliability and service to the university community.

"She brings deep knowledge of JMU, thoughtful judgment, and a steady presence to everything she does," Thomas said. "Whether she is helping a colleague, solving a complicated problem, or coordinating an important Graduate School initiative, Yvonne has a way of keeping things moving and making people feel supported along the way. Her care for the work, for her colleagues, and for the university makes a real difference every day."

The Game Changer program recognizes honorees at JMU home football games throughout the season and is presented by Good Wealth Management, which serves the JMU community.
